And all a marketing pro needs to do under every circumstance is ask, &quot;Is this true? Is this honest? Is this the best I can do? And if it is, an agency can go ahead with the happy realization that yhe&#039;ve put in motion the right cause, and know that the effect will take care of itself.</description>

		<description>If you are a marketer or leader or consultant who speaks for a marketing agency, I think it is your responsibility to be honest and fair toward your existing or potential client.  That is why they considered paying you for in the first place.  You are supposed to act in the interest of your client.  Unfortunately, there is no bar for internet marketers like there is for attorneys.  There is no governing body that holds marketers accountable for their practices.</description>

		<description>I suppose one of the main benefits of hiring a marketing agency or consultant is to skip the learning curve that you would have to endure if you attempted to learn about the latest methods of marketing to attain organic search engine rankings, not to mention using social media for driving traffic.  It does make a lot of sense to me to seek out the expertise of an experienced person so I can avoid any pitfalls.</description>

		<description>What I find alarming when I am consulting a marketing expert for the first time is when I sense that the marketer is haughty and / or condescending .  If you have a massive ego, forget it.  I don&#039;t say this because I can&#039;t handle people with big egos.  I say this because marketing people with big egos always think they know better than their customers.  That&#039;s &quot;death&quot; in the marketing business.  There is wisdom in listening to the client.</description>

No margin, no mission.  I don&#039;t think an internet marketer needs to be a specialist in all areas.  No one person can (nor should they try) specialize in everything and if they try, they will dilute their abilities in all areas.  But they should be at least capable in all areas.</description>

		<description>The way I see it, if you pay money or are having a professional consultation because you are considering employing an individual or agency to promote your business, it is only professional and responsible for that marketing agency to act with integrity and give you sound advice, even though what may be best for the client will not necessarily be good for the marketer&#039;s immediate profits.  A marketing expert needs to have the vision to earn the client&#039;s trust for the long term.</description>
